Form of workReed Tech, a LexisNexis Company (a subsidiary of RELX) has Data Entry Operator openings. The Data Entry Operator types, proofreads and edits data to assist with daily production and meet client schedules
Accountabilities
1. Transcribes data from source documents according to established procedures and rules.
2. Verifies data entered with source documents, checks for compliance with composition codes and style rules and corrects all typographical errors and missing or repeated data.
3. Troubleshoots production problems and takes action when necessary.
4. Investigates data that is unclear to produce a quality product.
5. May assist in training new employees when requested.
6. May train other production employees on assigned projects.
7. May recommend changes in program and routines to improve efficiency within the team environment.
8. May prepare and maintain quality feedback and other statistical records within the department.
9. Assists external departments with production and statistical information when required.
10. Maintains Quantity/Quality metrics.
11. Performs job according to current ISO procedures.
12. Participates in periodic team meetings, activities and projects.
13. Interacts with others in a professional manner.
14. May multitask between several departments as needed.
15. May assist in the writing and maintaining of manuals and/or work instructions.
16. Performs other job related duties as required.
Qualifications
1. High school graduate or equivalent.
2. Good verbal, written and organizational skills.
3. Ability to acquire and retain vast amounts of information.
4. Strong attention to and concern for detail.
5. Concentration; ability to perform routine repetitive tasks reliably and accurately.
6. Problem solving ability.
7. Ability to follow written standardized procedures.
8. Ability to work with others in a team and office setting.
9. Ability to meet scheduled deadlines.
10. Basic knowledge of computer applications.
11. Ability to pass all pre-employment testing.
12. Must be a U.S. Citizen
