Data Entry/ Laboratory Assistant

KAM Consultants Corp., is a well-established NYC based environmental consulting firm, servicing the greater New York area. For 30 years, it provides comprehensive environmental consulting services in the fields of asbestos, lead paint, PCBs and mold surveying, sampling, analysis, and abatement design, as well as environmental due diligence for real estate transactions, performing Transaction Screen Processes, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and remedial site investigations for commercial properties. KAM serves a broad range of private and government agencies.

We are currently looking for a Data Entry/Laboratory Assistant for our Long Island City location. This is an in-person job only.

KAM needs assistance making reports for completed field work, downloading electronic data from field equipment, sending daily emails and updates, scanning and printing work, keeping files on our server up to date, and creating daily schedules.

Candidates must be willing to work in the Long Island City Kam Office.

Qualifications:

• Accurately review documents and ensure they are completed to compile reports.
• Strong written/verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Environmental Science
• Interpretation and typing for laboratory/field reports
• Due to large volumes of data input, candidate must be proficient and extremely accurate with excel and word.
• Communicate with the field supervisor and office and coordinate any issues.
• Downloading electronic data from field equipment
• Sending daily emails and updates
• Scanning and printing work, keeping files on our server up to date
• May assist in creating daily schedules.
• Data entry of daily QA/QC results and preparation of QA/QC monthly reports
• Prepare samples in various matrices (air, dust, bulk, etc.) for asbestos analysis
• Analysis of PCM air samples as needed
• Ability to function from Lab to front office

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Microsoft Excel: 3 years (Required)
• Laboratory: 1 year (Required)
