Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with student outreach and enrollment;
  • Conduct daily calls to parents/guardians when child is absent from program;
  • Maintain organized records of already entered attendance and outreach (daily calls, parent outreach, meetings/appointments, referrals, follow-ups, etc.);
  • Record/input attendance into database on a weekly basis by set deadline;
  • Assist with student arrival and dismissal;
  • Assist with preparing/scheduling of parent workshops;
  • Assist with creating program flyers;
  • Assist other Advantage after-school staff with work responsibilities if needed;
  • Assist with any related program activity deemed necessary by the Program Director and Program Coordinator.

COMPETENCIES

  • Relevant experience and/or transferable skills preferred
  • Must be detail oriented, highly organized, and have the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Must have a genuine interest for working with children, and must want to serve as a mentor.
  • Must be able to meet set deadlines
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Bilingual preferred (English and Spanish)

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent
