Position Summary
The Data Entry Clerk position is responsible for entering delivery orders and other required data into the Container Management System. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy and a fast typist with a keen eye for detail.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes the following. Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by Senior Management.
- Enter delivery orders in CMS for Import and Export accounts
- Upload required documents and notes into CMS
- Verify LFD and empty locations for Imports and enter in CMS
- Verify Export bookings are on file, cutoff dates, terminal, and equipment has been released
- Update and resolve system generated trouble tickets
- Send a summary of orders entered at the end of each day to the team
- Enter required information into 3rd party systems
- Establish entry priorities by maintaining understanding of what data needs to be entered first
- Check documents for accuracy and ensure accurate data has been entered into CMS
- Check documents against entered data to ensure data integrity at every stage
- Respond to information access and retrieval requests from team
- Prepare and sort documents for the purpose of Data Entry
- Enter customers into CMS as needed
- Follow Data Entry techniques and procedures to maintain Data Entry requirements
- Verify entered data by reviewing, correcting, changing or deleting entered information
- Confer with supervisor regarding incomplete information
Minimum Qualifications
- 6 to 12 months of experience
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
