ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
● Data Entry
- In the Starlims computer system, enter demographic in required fields from the newborn screening laboratory slip, verify previously entered demographics for newborn screening, Enter demographics for other labs within the Administration so specimen/sample files and reports may be generated.
● Problem Resolution Desk
- Communicates in person or by telephone with co-workers and internal/external customers; to include answering the telephone, responding to telephone requests for results and faxing of reports according to the SOPM.
● Mandatory Functions
- Required overtime in evenings Monday-Friday, Saturdays and holidays when backlog occurs so lab turnaround times is met. Other Assigned Duties – as required by supervisor and/or division chief.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Typing Accuracy Test: The selected vendor must coordinate with each candidate an accuracy typing test. We would prefer candidates who can key quickly with minimal errors. This typing test is the responsibility of the vendor and must be completed before each candidate can start.
Pay Rate: The minimum pay rate to be paid to each temp is $15.00 per hour.
Overtime: Overtime will be on an as-needed basis and will depend on the workload and the employees’ productivity. We do not anticipate much overtime for this position.
