PURPOSE
The Data Coordinator is responsible for organizing and processing data in a way that is clear and concise while aligning with business needs. The role reports to the Director of Restaurants & Cafes and works to improve data flow for optimization of data analysis leading to informed business decisions. The role is also responsible for direct technology management for recipe and menu systems, specifically, systems used for menu and recipe management, as well as end user training of specific point-of-sale systems. The Data Coordinator also provides general administrative support to the Business Office, Restaurants & Cafes, Catering, Marketing, and Information Technology departments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Translate and enter complex data gathered from restaurants & cafes to point-of-sale systems in a way that enables the most efficient use of systems for customer, management and data analysis
- Coordinate, prepare and manage spreadsheets to gather data for recipe costing and menu development
- Partner with the Marketing department to ensure data is collected and maintained in a format that is effective for use in marketing systems such as digital displays for menus
- Manage promotions and specials as needed in point-of-sale systems
- Make recommendations for improvements to systems and processes to ensure quality data entry into key systems for business analysis
- Assist with data research and analysis as needed
- Provide training to restaurants and cafes teams on use of developed spreadsheets to ensure accuracy of information provided
- Provide training to end users of point-of-sale system, such as managers and cashiers
- Run ad-hoc reports as requested by various departments
- Assist in Business Office front-end customer support and inquiries
- Handle general administrative support such as supporting calendars, general office work, and customer service tasks

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Associate’s degree in Information Systems or related field, 1 year of experience in data coordination or an administrative role or a similar role; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit, stand for prolonged periods of time
- Extensive computer use
SCOPE AND DIRECTION
- Reports to: Director of Restaurants & Cafes
- Direct Reports: No direct reports
- Status: Non-Exempt
- Rate of pay $45,000.00 annual
