Minimum Requirements
- 1 year experience installing devices and cabling into empty server racks using copper, power, fiber and other connection types.
- 1 year experience patching in fiber and copper cables from network racks to servers
- Must be able to work on ladders and use power tools; ability to lift/carry/setup a 50-pound box or ladder
- Must own low voltage tools, snips, cable strippers, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.
- Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift and overtime as needed and can work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Able to follow directions in a repetitive task for a long duration.
- Must pass 7-year criminal background check and must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and current automobile insurance
- Professional working proficiency in English is required
Preferred Experience (not required)
- Experience working in an active Data Center environment
- High School Diploma
- BICSI, Technician, or Installation Certification
- Powder Actuated tools Certification
- Confined Space Certification
- CPR and First aid certified
- Manufacturers certifications for Installation and Maintenance
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Install devices and cabling into empty server racks using copper, power, fiber (LC-LC, AOC-MTP, AOC-AOC), and other connection types.
- Deliver server racks around the Data Center
- Smart Hands Work - Patching in fiber and copper cables from network racks to servers
- Troubleshooting and testing network racks
- Unloading server racks according to specific procedures
- Climbing ladders to route cables
- Working in a team based, fast paced environment to reach customer deadlines
- Perform all work in a neat and quality manner
Pay Rate:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
