Overview

Eagle Eye Networks is seeking a Data Center Technician. This position requires a mid-level technical understanding of power requirements and Linux servers. The ideal candidate for this role will be confident in their ability to build, rack and support servers and storage machines. This role will be directly involved with building a cutting edge infrastructure and building out local and international Data Center infrastructure. This position is ideally suited for a positive, self-motivated team member who is excited to grow their skill set implementing real world tools and infrastructure spanning the globe.

Responsibilities 

• Ability to quickly learn and pick up new technical skills 
• Install server and network equipment in a Data Center environment while maintaining organization. 
• Build multiple types of Server and Data Storage machines to include motherboard, processor, memory, drives, fans, cable and other.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware issues. 
• Observe monitoring systems and proactively investigate issues for remediation.
• Communicate effectively with other team members for help and coordination of tasks.
• Be self directed and run with tasks with minimal direction until completion. 
• Work on complex and detailed tasks. 
• Occasional travel, including international, may be required.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in Data Centers or ISPs desired.
• Working knowledge of server hardware components. 
• Ability to neatly organize and maintain copper, fiber, and power cables within a rack.
• Must be able to drive personal vehicle, carry and lift equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Linux experience a plus.
