Our client is in search of a skilled data center technician to ensure that data center decommissioning efforts do not impact operational integrity. In this role, your duties will include removing and decommissioning system components and racking, stacking, and cabling.
To ensure success as a data center technician, you should exhibit experience in ensuring the optimal efficiency of data center decommissioning activities. Top-notch data center technicians take proactive measures to prevent loss of data and damage to networks. Documenting decommissioned components in appropriate logs.
Please Note: This role is onsite in Wenatchee, WA, a contract opportunity with one of our premier Telco clients.

Responsibilities:
- Un-rack, remove cables, and stack servers and network equipment.
- Removing internal system components, including CPUs, memory, hard drives, and network cables.
- Documenting processes and updating logs.
- Update documentation logs in the DCIM tool.
- Stacking, palletizing, and inventory tracking.
Education & Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience as a data center technician, or similar.
- Knowledge of data center environments, servers, and network equipment.
- Experience in installing, monitoring, and maintaining data center equipment.
- Exceptional ability to work as part of a team, provide IT support, and resolve errors.
- Exceptional communication skills and self-starter.
- Willingness to work second or third shift as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must have Covid-19 Vaccination.
