Position Summary
In support of the Mission, Vision and Values of SyBridge Technologies, the Data Analyst, Supply Chain role will be responsible for evaluating and analyzing data to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of a company's supply chain operations. This role involves utilizing statistical analysis and data modeling techniques to identify trends, forecast spend, and optimize supplier deliverables. The analyst works closely with various departments, including procurement, finance, logistics, and operations, to ensure data-driven decisions are made to enhance operational performance. Additionally, reporting tools to monitor supply chain metrics and provide actionable insights to senior management.
There will be an on-site, or virtual, MS Excel test given to evaluate the candidate’s skillset. This will look at their ability to deliver quickly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze supplier spend and cash management in collaboration with finance, accounts payable, and procurement teams to provide data-driven insights for strategic supplier selection based on spend analysis.
- Utilize advanced MS Excel skills and SQL knowledge to support ad-hoc data requests, ensuring quick and efficient data cleaning and processing of large, complex datasets for reporting purposes.
- Develop and implement reporting mechanisms that identify organizational needs, visualizing data in charts and tables for easy interpretation, and prepare and distribute weekly reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of financial reports, including cash flow statements and accounts payable aging reports, with the ability to consolidate large volumes of data into coherent and presentable formats for decision-making.
- Conduct regular market analysis to identify emerging trends in supply chain and procurement, helping to anticipate supply challenges and opportunities for cost savings or efficiency improvements.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated forecasting models to predict future inventory needs, accounting for variables such as seasonal demand fluctuations, economic indicators, and supplier performance.
- Work closely with the procurement team to evaluate and assess vendor performance metrics, ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and identifying areas for improvement or renegotiation.
- Implement and manage procurement and supply chain analytics tools and platforms, ensuring accurate data collection, storage, and analysis capabilities are in place.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate supply chain data insights into broader business strategies, supporting organizational goals such as sustainability, risk management, and innovation.
- Lead initiatives to improve data quality and integrity within the supply chain and procurement functions, including standardizing data collection methods and ensuring accurate data entry and maintenance.
- Provide training and support to procurement and supply chain teams on data analysis techniques and tools, fostering a data-driven culture within the organization.
- Manage and oversee the development of dashboards and automated reporting systems, enabling real-time monitoring of supply chain and procurement metrics.
- Perform cost-benefit analysis on proposed projects or procurement decisions, providing insights and recommendations to senior management based on quantitative data.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in data analysis methodologies and supply chain technologies, ensuring the organization remains competitive and efficient in its operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in data analytics/science, computer science, mathematics, and/or business/commerce.
- 3+ years of experience in the data analytics field.
- Preferably 1+ year in the supply chain/procurement field.
- Extremely strong knowledge in MS Excel, specifically creating reports and tools.
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL.
- Intermediate knowledge with the MS Power Platform, including PowerAutomate.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, quickly, and efficiently.
- Creativity, providing unique data solutions.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
