Data Analyst

RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering our clients with timely engineering support and expertise. We are seeking an entry-level to experienced candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. This is a hybrid remote position that will require some travel to our customers facility in Lafayette, IN or Mossville, IL or Minneapolis, MN.

Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst, you will provide architectural ownership to a PowerBI tool that pulls from multiple data sources to communicate key demand signals to various L3 design engineering and purchasing teams. Additionally, you will be serving as a key point of contact for engineering and purchasing teams to field capacity target-related questions.

Responsibilities

• Owning and enhancing a PowerBI-based tool.
• Working under the leadership of a platform engineer, work to integrate demand updates on a consistent basis.
• Working throughout the LPSD organization to field questions about capacity demand signals and assist with providing clear targets to engineering and purchasing teams.
• Work with data scientists throughout the organization to understand and leverage key systems for data accuracy and enhanced reporting capabilities.
• Document and embed standard work to ensure process adherence and consistency going forward.

Qualifications

• BS Degree or Technology Degree in data science, programming, engineering, technology, or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and good oral and written communication skills.
• Candidate must be able to communicate within cross-functional teams.
• Candidate must be able to maintain, design, and develop PowerBI features and functions.
• Candidate must be able to leverage Excel files in large scale for integration into the PowerBI realm.
• Candidate must be a self-starter and execute under minimal supervision and direction.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

• Direct experience with engines or engine systems.
• Supply chain experience.

Additional Information:

• Location of this position is remote or on-site (Lafayette, Minnesota, Peoria, etc.).
• Relocation assistance IS NOT available for this position.
• Travel up to 5% possible with this position, mostly to the Lafayette facility.
