1.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing and organizing the company’s data sets to facilitate the creation of quantitative reports and dashboards that accurately communicate relevant information. The Data Analyst will develop, maintain, and audit the data that is shared throughout the company and with our customers via scheduled reporting, and will also develop on-demand ad-hoc reports. The Data Analyst works closely with, and reports to, the Chief Financial Officer and will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and the Vice President – Flight Operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain databases, data tables, and data systems – reorganizing data in a readable format
- Use automated tools such as Power BI to extract data from SQL databases
- Develop dashboards and ad-hoc reporting in collaboration with internal business partners to provide operational insights
- Build reporting templates to be run on a scheduled (monthly) basis for international airline customers and work with key internal partners to assess evolving needs of our airline customers to revise and rebuild templates as needed
- Provide insight into options for alternate reporting solutions including implementation of “live” data via online sharing, automated reporting options or alternate data sharing solutions
- Perform full analytical system audits to provide error identification and correction solutions
- Supports and participates in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to comply with ISO 9001:2008 requirements by communicating the importance of meeting customer, statutory, and regulatory requirements; by establishing the Quality Policy and Quality Objectives; by participating in Management Reviews; and by ensuring the availability of resources.
2.0 REQUIREMENTS
- EDUCATION
- Associate degree or equivalent certification required
- Bachelor’s degree in business data Analytics or equivalent preferred
- Data Science or Data Analyst certification preferred
2.2EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years in a Business Data Analytics role.
2.3SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent SQL, MS Excel, MS Access, Power Bi and MS Word proficiency.
- Ability to communicate at numerous levels internal and external to the company.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills; ability to investigate problems or potential problems to avoid reoccurrence.

- Thorough understanding of business data analytics.
2.5EQUIPMENT/MACHINERY USED
- General office equipment including a personal computer, fax machine, copier, etc.
3.0 PHYSICAL AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
- Will be working primarily inside the facility.
- May have limited exposure to aircraft, simulators, and equipment.
- May require prolonged periods of sitting or standing and computer use.
