What You’ll Do

We have an exciting Cybersecurity Sales Specialist role open in our Global Security Sales Organization!

You will be supporting and driving revenue with fifteen of our Global Enterprise Segment Growth customers in the region with Cisco’s entire portfolio of solutions & services, leveraging all the company’s internal resources and your thought leadership and skill in cybersecurity.

As part of your DNA, you are a self-starter with a learning and competitive mindset. Cisco Cybersecurity Specialists are creative challengers with the ability to build strong executive and internal relationships through planning and accountability. You’ll hunt for opportunities to position Cisco’s end-to-end security portfolio, as well as cross-sell with all Cisco solutions, to help customers and partners get the most security value.

  • Drive pipeline generation by building tailored security account plans, business cases and strategies for each assigned account, leading outreach, leveraging all available resources (engineers, account managers, executive sponsors, marketing, technical, services, Cisco on Cisco, etc) and your expertise of customer challenges & use cases.
  • Execute on the plan and drive hyper-growth by forging high-level relationships internally and within accounts to develop new and incremental business over $1M, leveraging the fastest growing set of security solutions at Cisco.
  • Forecast and report activity accurately in line with expectations using Salesforce+Clari and leveraging the MEDDPICC sales framework.
  • Join a team of high-energy, growth-minded, and SaaS-minded enterprise security sellers & sales engineers, and decide when you work from home, when you work from a Cisco office, when you travel, and when you visit customers in the region.
  • Team with Cisco Channel Team and authorized channel partners on new and current sales opportunities leveraging their capabilities where appropriate.
Who You’ll Work With

In this role as Cybersecurity Security Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for all sales of Cisco Security solutions and services in a set of 15 Global Enterprise accounts in the West Region. This candidate must be able to forge and grow new relationships within the customer and partner base via both direct and indirect touch to drive significant revenue growth while ensuring internal alignment.


Who You Are
  • Direct touch security sales combined with experience working in a multifaceted, matrixed organization and working with partners (both internal & external) to improve results
  • Minimum of 5 years of overall sales experience with at least 3 years selling Security solutions (SaaS preferred)
  • Skilled in building both strategic and tactic opportunities to tackle real-world customer problems, building business champions, influencing decision criteria, accessing economic buyers, and running a complex sales process to the end
  • Large, complex deal management experience using sales frameworks such as MEDDPICC and Command of the Message/Command of the Sale
  • Proven/Quantifiable record of over-achievement
  • Adept at communicating with an audience of security experts and thought leaders with a strong all-round knowledge of the Security Market
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proactive, self-starter, goal-oriented, and takes ownership
  • Self-starter
  • Willing to be mentored and naturally comfortable working in a growth-minded and high-energy team
  • The ability to travel within the region to visit customers & partners is required

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. or Canada hiring location. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
