Position Overview

 

QinetiQ US is seeking a creative, hands-on, hardworking architect to be a member of our data and technology group. As a  Cybersecurity Analyst/ Technical SME, you'll be supporting the DOT OCIO with their Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) and High Value Assets (HVA) Program Support.

 

The Data and Technology Group (DTG) supports division vertical teams to deliver technology solutions supporting Defense, Homeland, and FedCiv clients by delivering analytics services and developing applications and algorithms through Lean Development and Agile Methodologies.

 DTG provides the homebase for full-stack developers, data engineers, data scientists, and other technologists, creating a dynamic, cross-project technical community that prioritizes continual learning, collaboration, and easy opportunities for project variety over time.

DTG also ensures that our focus on delivering for current customers is balanced with initiatives that will help drive future growth - both in terms of new customers and new technologies and solutions. We create demonstrations and pilot capabilities to help clients as they consider how to modernize and maximize their processes, operations, and mission impact.

Responsibilities

 

The ideal candidate will have five or more years with the following experience in a position(s) of progressively increasing maturity and responsibility.

 

  • Provide Cybersecurity Analyst and Technical PM support in coordination with CBP Cyber lead and ISSO to achieve, manage and maintain an accredited system per the government's risk management framework (RMF).
  • Experience managing a small team.
  • Understanding of Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) and High Value Assets (HVA).
  • Knowledge of CSAM
  • Manage Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) for each noncompliant control or vulnerability.
  • Design, plan, and lead initiatives to optimize and restructure cyber security architecture as needed.
  • Data protection knowledge and ability to safeguard information.
  • Support penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities within software, systems, or enclaves.
  • Perform auditing various system components and network infrastructure.
  • Utilize enterprise network security monitoring tools.
  • Experience managing enterprise networks.
  • Teaching and training team members and new hires in support processes, tools, and technologies
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 
  • Attention to detail in all work-related aspects.
  • The ability to organize and attend meetings.

Required Qualifications

 

  • Candidate must have 5-10 years of Cyber Security experience managing system Accreditations and ATOs
  • Bachelor's degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience, master’s may be substituted for 4 years of experience.
  • General working knowledge of PCs and computer systems to effectively execute systems activities.
  • CISA HVA Assessment and/or technical Lead Certification
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience standing up a cybersecurity program or assessment program
  • Relevant certifications: CompTIA Security+, CCNP Security, Certified in Governance, Risk and Compliance (CGRC), CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, CISM, CISA a plus
