Responsibilities
The responsibility of the Project Manager is to provide oversight on customer projects to provide surveillance to improve overall program outcomes. The Project Manager will ensure project requirements are satisfied while managing resources for the project as well as the schedule. The decision to manage all project requires change to processes and procedures to tailor project management to new and existing projects. This will develop, communicate, and implement best Project Management practices to promote efficient delivery of our mission outcomes.
The process identifies four phases associated with deploying a system: Initiation, Planning, Execution, and Closeout. Deployment initiation begins with the initial definition of the requirements and continues through the planning and execution of the system and then transition to Sustainment. In Sustainment, the Project Manager maintains an operational awareness of the organization Network and works with Cloud Ops and other customers to coordinate any outages and their impacts and schedules them for the least amount of impact as possible.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Twelve (12) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required
- Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
- Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required
- Experience developing and deploying storage within clustered or cloud environments
- Experience planning and integrating secure compliant solutions based on legal, policy, and compliance directives
- Ability to recommend a preferred solution based on selection criteria adjusted
- Ability to provide technical direction for the full Systems Engineering life cycle
