Advantage SCI seeks a Security Management Specialist to assist DHS Facilities and Security Services Division (FSSD) Staff in overseeing and providing project management services to implement an FSSD facilities security refresh project. Assists in implementing the FSSD security and safety management program including assessments of OIG offices’ security vulnerabilities. Provides support to FSSD Security Staff for coordination, management, training and maintenance of the OIG’s physical security and information security programs. Provides support to all security services to the level of TS-SCI information. Assists the FSSD Communications Security (COMSEC) Custodian with inventory and accountability requirements to include managing material reports and semi-annual inventory completion. Assists the FSSD Security Staff in management of the access control system and OIG customer support. Conducts semi-annual reviews of the Intrusion Detection System, DHS FPS Mega Center Account information and call lists for all OIG facilities. Assists the FSSD Security Staff in reviewing recommendations for revising security policies and procedures related to physical security, communications security (COMSEC), operations security, continuity programs, and other protection programs, as required. Assists the FSSD Security Staff in Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facilities (SCIF) operations. Assists the security specialists in facilitating the issuance of DHS PIV cards and DHS OIG credentials.
Experience and Skills:
Bachelor’s college degree in business, public health, emergency management, public administration, engineering or architecture.
Five years of experience in Federal physical security, information security, operations security, Intelligence Community and/or COMSEC.
Government experience with General Services Administration, law enforcement, Inspector General Community, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice, and/or Department of Defense.
Experience with strategic planning and execution of GSA leases.
Skilled in the use of personal computers and networks and proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office (Project, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio) suite of programs.
Must be able to able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Must have strong communications skills and be professional and courteous at all times, with federal personnel external to DHS.
Must prepare written correspondence that is concise and accurate, grammatically correct, free of typographical and other errors, and completed in a timely and responsive manner.
