Cyber Security Engineer

Gridiron IT Solutions is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to support a Federal Program with on-site work in the Washington, DC Metro area.

REQUIRED: Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility

This is a long term contracting role with benefits.
- Develop and implement IT security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate potential security risks
- Monitor network traffic and security logs for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents in a timely manner
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement security controls for new systems and applications
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices to proactively address emerging threats
- Provide guidance and support to IT teams on security-related issues and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards

```Experience```
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT security or a related role
- Strong knowledge of network security concepts, protocols, and technologies such as IDS/IPS, firewalls, VPNs, etc.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and understanding of cloud security best practices
- Familiarity with secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
- Knowledge of threat intelligence tools and techniques for proactive threat hunting
- Proficiency in incident management processes and incident response frameworks
- Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements such as FISMA, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for secure software deployment
