Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and oxygen levels
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Perform ostomy care and pain management for patients
- Assist with procedures such as esthetic laser treatment and IV insertion
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting, preferably in a CVICU
- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems such as Cerner
- Knowledge of ICD-9 coding and documentation requirements
- Experience working in an ambulatory surgery center is a plus
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations and prioritize patient care
- Knowledge of dementia care is preferred
