The Customer Support Planner & Heavy Maintenance Technician 2 will be responsible for performing maintenance in the field and the shop on mainly GE, CFM, and Pratt & Whitney commercial aircraft engines. The position is a 50/50 role and will require direct Customer Support as well as maintenance of engines. In the Customer Support Planner role, you will need to build customer relationships while promoting the company's capabilities; in the Maintenance Technician role, you will work on commercial aircraft engines, to include engine stand maintenance and engine preservations (which is required). Additionally, Global travel on short notice is a requirement (to include after-hours, weekends, and holidays).
Essential Job Duties:
- Perform Heavy Maintenance on GE, CFM, and PW turbine engines around the world to the highest quality standards.
- Gain knowledge of GES quality procedures per the Repair Station & Quality Manual (RSQM), including the FAA/EASA Part 145 regulations, requirements, and procedures.
- Act in accordance with and meet the requirements of the RSQM, along with all other applicable regulations and company policies.
- Professionally interact with customers and provide excellent customer service when interfacing with customers in the shop or field.
- Have a positive attitude, and promote the business to internal and external customers, co-workers, or potential employees.
- Read, interpret, and understand OEM technical data, maintenance manuals, service bulletins, FAA Airworthiness Directives, and other specifications to determine the maintenance procedure, method of repairing, and/or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
- Be familiar with aircraft maintenance manuals (AMM) for multiple aircraft and engine configurations.
- Remove, install, and repair aircraft engines (i.e., parts, fan blades, engine mounts, and other items as required).
- Perform accessory inventories and other inspections, as needed.
- Effectively utilize Quantum Control and JETRAXX systems within six months.
- Approach work with the "can-do" spirit and attitude.
- Properly use torque wrenches, calibrated tools, and special tooling, as required.
- Operate borescope equipment efficiently.
- Co-lead a job in the shop or field.
- Ensure work scopes are within the FAA 145 repair station capability and engine inductions are set.
- Review special or new scopes for capability, parts, tools, AD/SB research, and technical data requirements.
- Accurately track the cost of work orders and turnaround time (TAT)
- Meet or exceed customer requirements.
- Constantly communicate between customer and operations
- Manage engines from contract to close out.
- Ability to work closely with materials, logistics, accounting, technicians, and management.
- When needed, review invoices, create sales orders, purchase orders, and repair orders.
- Ensure profitability on work orders and run status reports frequently (weekly, monthly, etc.)
- Able to travel globally for fieldwork, when necessary.
- Weekend and holiday work may be required.

3. Weekend and holiday work may be required as well as domestic and international travel.

Minimum Job Qualifications:
- 4-year degree or equivalent MRO experience in Aviation
- FAA Airframe and Power Plant Certificate (A&P)
- 4 years of industry experience working as a technician on turbine engines or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- 4 years of OEM Heavy Maintenance turbine experience or as a GES Leasing Maintenance Tech.
- GE90, CF34, CFM56, LEAP, V2500, PW1000/1500G, PW2000/4000, RB211, and Trent heavy engine experience desired.
- Heavy maintenance experience on TAY, SPEY, PW300, JT15, PT6, PW100, and PW200 a plus.
- Experience with Heavy Maintenance repairs, AD/SB compliance, engine "C" checks, LRU, and external component R&R, BSI, and inspections on all models preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced user of Adobe DC & Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Read, write, and understand the English language.
- Process US Passport or can obtain one.
- Class C driver's license.

- May be exposed to loud noise.
- Able to bend, stoop, kneel and stand for prolonged periods, climb steps, ladders, and/or service stands.
- Use hands to finger, handle or feel.
- Ability to talk, hear and smell.
- Reach/handle items, work with fingers, and perceive attributes of object and materials.
- May need to work outside.
- Must be enrolled in the DOT-approved random drug and alcohol testing program.

- Visual acuity must be a minimum of 20/40 corrected and must be able to distinguish color.
