AFI is looking for a driven Inside Sales Support person with a competitive spirit and track record of success in customer service to join our growing company in Lawrenceville, GA. The focus of the Sales Assistance is to support the inside sales team with order entry, answer telephone calls, data entry, expediting, sending out request for quotes and order confirmations. This position can lead to an inside sales position with additional earnings and commissions. The Sales Assistant builds and maintains lasting relationships with new and existing customers.
Responsibilities
- Answer telephone calls and assist customers
- Process orders/quotes, request for quotes (RFQ), customer complaints and other inquiries.
- Perform data entry when orders are received and updated when changed.
- Scans completed documentation
- Follow up on sales leads and direct to appropriate member of sales team
- Utilize product training to effectively guide and improve customer service
- Schedule appointments for the field sales team to demonstrate the company’s products and services
- Prioritize issues appropriately and manage to a satisfactory resolution
Qualifications
- 1+ years of Customer Service/Sales experience
- Strong phone skills with experience cold calling
- Working knowledge of Word and Excel
- Excellent at overcoming objections
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Ability to effectively listen and communicate through verbal and written channels
Desired Skills
- Previous distribution sales experience
- Familiarity with the fastener industry
- Previous Epicor P21 experience a plus
- Proficient experience with Microsoft Excel
