With our state-of-the-art facilities and highly regarded tournaments, we provide athletes with an exceptional experience. We are seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Weekend Baseball & Softball Tournament & Facility Support, helping us ensure the seamless execution of our tournaments and maintaining our top-notch facilities.
Job Summary:
As the Weekend Baseball & Softball Tournament & Facility Support, you will play a vital role in assisting our team in various tasks related to the smooth operation of tournaments and maintenance of our facilities. Your dedication and attention to detail will contribute to creating an unforgettable experience for players, coaches, and spectators alike. This is a part-time position primarily focused on weekend shifts. The hours we are looking to fill are from 7AM-7PM on Saturdays and Sundays and Friday nights as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Tournament Support: Collaborate with the tournament director to ensure all necessary equipment, supplies, and resources are readily available.
- Facility Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the facilities, including playing fields, spectator areas, restrooms, and common areas.
- Field Preparation: Help prepare playing fields by setting up bases, dragging and lining the fields, and ensuring they meet safety standards.
- Scorekeeping: Assist with scorekeeping duties, including keeping accurate records of games and scores.
- Umpire Support: Provide support to umpires, such as supplying equipment, managing communication devices, and ensuring they have a comfortable work environment.
- Customer Service: Interact with tournament participants, coaches, and spectators in a friendly and professional manner, addressing inquiries and providing assistance as needed.
- Safety and Security: Monitor the tournament areas to ensure the safety and security of all participants, identifying and addressing any potential hazards or concerns.
- General Support: Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the tournament management team to contribute to the overall success of the events and facility operations.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with participants, coaches, and spectators.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings, as required by tournament schedules.
