Customer Service Specialist

What you will do:

The primary responsibility of the Customer Service Specialist is to perform and assist with tasks related to providing a high level of Customer Service for all Dem-Con businesses.  This position requires attention to detail and a commitment to our customers to aide in the day to day operations of Dem-Con.  

• Work as primary Customer Service representative for Dem-Con’s Shakopee Landfill
• Set-up and maintain approved customer files and electronic database in company software
• Respond to customer inquiries daily
• Cover gatehouse during lunch breaks as needed, PTO and one to two Saturday’s every month April - November
• Work closely with and assist the sales team as needed
• Cross train with Dem-Con’s other Customer Service Specialist and be the backup to this position as needed
• Monitor on-going jobs including but not limited to; scanning manifests, checking volumes against initial expectations, and sending customers and/or consultants’
• appropriate information as requested
• Prepare job report summaries daily, reconcile to manifests, and deliver to consultants and customers routinely and upon requested

To qualify for this role you will have:

• High school diploma or equivalent    
• Ability to learn new software as applicable    
• Proficient Microsoft Office experience required
• 2+ years working knowledge & use of Excel
• 2+ years of experience in an office environment
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
