Responsible for answering customer questions regarding charges or services received and addressing customer concerns.

1) Communicate effectively in order to resolve customer questions and misunderstandings regarding services and patient balances.
2) Communicate with staff and other departments to help resolve account errors.
3) Understand all hospital and physician charges billed.
4) Understand the cash posting process and how it applies to patient bills.
5) Be customer oriented and able to work under stressful conditions.
6) Understand all patient accounting systems currently in use.
7) Make independent decisions and solve problems.
8) Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
9) Required to sit for extended periods of time depending on call volume
