Bank Teller/Customer Service Representative
Our financial institution is currently looking for a qualified individual to fill the role of bank teller/Customer Service representative. The successful candidate will provide excellent banking service to clients in a professional and courteous manner, maintain a basic understanding of our banking products and services, accurately and efficiently process client transactions and fully comply with company and departmental policies and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process financial transactions promptly, accurately and ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
Receives and issues receipts for checking and savings account deposits
Receives payments for mortgages, consumer and other loans, utility bills. Provides a variety of
other services.
Makes Cash and check withdrawal payments
Balances cash drawer at the end of the day and compares total amount to computer generated proof sheet. Reports any discrepancies to the supervisor as necessary
Assists in the bank-by-mail function, if available.
Cashes checks in accordance with financial institution procedures, and ensures that funds are appropriately disbursed and collected.
Assists in the night depository function.
Strictly adhere to all bank policies and procedures
Prioritize customer demands
Provide impeccable Customer Service
Communicate professionally with all customers and colleagues
Uphold understanding of all banking products and services, along with company systems and procedures
Report to Branch Manager at First National Bank of Oneida
Report to Teller Supervisor
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a formal teller training program, experience as a teller or within banking environment
Good interpersonal and training skills, as well as good mathematical, organizational and standard office equipment skills
Cash handling and/or Customer Service experience preferred
Strong computer skills
