Pecan Grove Vet Clinic is a high volume, fast-paced, one doctor, full services mixed veterinary clinic. We are looking to add a Customer Service Representative to our team!
The Receptionist is the client's first and last contact when calling or visiting our clinic and as such presents the professional image of the practice to callers and visitors. They are the lifeline of the clinic! The Receptionist answers telephones, greets clients, updates client records, prepares billing, collects payments, and performs a variety of other related services.
Requirements
· Exceptional Customer Services and communication skill
· Extremely organized and have the ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment
· Has experience with answering multiline phone system
· Strong computer skills

- Remain calm, efficient, and professional during a medical crisis and with upset clients.
Job Duties
· Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area
· Answer phone (multiline phone system)
· Greet clients and patients
· Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow
· Assist with the check in and out process
· Accurately enter client information, collect payments and print receipts and any additional paperwork i.e. – records, certificates etc.
· Update patient accounts when necessary.
· Maintain cash drawer throughout the day and balance at the end of the day
· Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area
· Assist Vet Techs and Veterinarian(s) as needed
· Stock pet food and office supplies
· Complete other assigned tasks as required
· Offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to our clients and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes.

Schedule
- Full-time - 40 hours per week
- Four day work week at 10 hours per day
- Hours are typically 7:45 am – 6 pm but can vary. Flexibility is a plus.
Pay is based on experience.
Due to the high volume of applicants, those with prior veterinary experience will be prioritized.
Although experience is preferred, we will train a candidate with the right personality.
