What We Are Looking For
GVEC is looking to hire you for the position of Customer Service Representative to deliver the unexpected with a willingness to continuously develop yourself, your department, and our organization. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for serving both GVEC electric and internet members and customers by phone and in person, assisting with any questions or concerns they may have.
How You’ll Help
- Receiving and posting payments
- Handling mostly inbound phone calls
- Listening and resolving concerns
- Entry level Internet Technical troubleshooting
- Signing for packages and deliveries
- Promotion of other cooperative services
Experience/Skills You’ll Need
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and confidently
- Excellent problem-solving skills - able to effectively troubleshoot minor issues independently
- Demonstrated ability to effectively evaluate and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic. Able to work independently with impeccable sense of integrity
- Team player with the resolve to provide and take constructive criticism that helps evolve the team
- Willing to work between 7:30 am – 5:30 pm Mon-Fri
- Proficient with PC and Internet
- Occasionally work in other office locations
Preferred Experience/Skills
- Previous cash handling
- Bilingual
Your Pay
The pay range for this role is between $18.00-$26.00/hr. and will be commensurate based on your skills, qualifications and experience. In addition, GVEC ties cash bonuses to a multitude of Cooperative benchmarks set forth annually.
