Life and Health InsuranceCustomer Service Representative Part Time
We are a family owned and operated independent insurance agency. We are looking for a team & family oriented, people person, who likes working with others, for a Life and Health InsuranceCustomer Service position requiring advanced communication skills, a thorough knowledge of business life, health, dental, and vision insurance products available through the agency. Hourly based pay which is negotiable based on experience, with the opportunity to also make Commission with unlimited potential. Spanish speaking is also a highly desirable quality.
- Major Responsibilities for an experienced hire: Provide excellent service to our clients by promptly responding to their inquiries and addressing their individual needs.
- Establish a relationship with our clients, and carrier representatives.
- Learn about the Products we offer our Life & Health Clients.
- Learn how to use our Agency Management System and carrier portals.
- Manage incoming calls from our customers. Direct them to the correct producer and/or agency department.
- Support team members in handling adds, terms, policy renewals, cancellations within the carrier portals meeting all deadlines.
- Access customer accounts, retrieve reports necessary to ensure completion of monthly policy renewals.
- Document all client, carrier interactions in the Agency Management System.
- Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff, and agency information.
- Handle data entry when requested by producer.
- Organize monthly renewals at least 90 days from renewal date.
- Take inventory and order carrier supplies.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by department producers or management.
- General office support to include, email, faxing, scanning.
- Good listening skills and attention to detail mandatory.
- Adhere to established employee manual policies and procedures.
- Assume other job responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Qualifications:*
- Education requirement; college degree preferred - high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Knowledge of computer systems and operations is required, Applied Systems usage preferred
- A Team attitude, good listening skills and writing skills, and attention to detail are important
- 1-5 years of Knowledge of personal insurance and products is desirable.
- NY Life and Health Licensed preferred
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $26,000.00 - $30,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 25 per week
