Job Description
The Customer Service Representative II (Data Entry/Order Processing) is a valuable member of our client services team the performs functions in both Order Entry and Customer Service and plays an essential role in our laboratory operations process.
- Shipping and receiving duties such as opening packages, crates, processing orders requiring return shipping, scheduling courier services, and maintaining shipping supplies.
- Reviews incoming paperwork for quantity accuracy.
- Enters orders efficiently and accurately into the Customer Management System (LUCY).
- Correctly marks samples for processing.
- Sources specifications, as required. Evaluates specification requirements to ensure order will be entered correctly.
- Processes retests and requests for additional testing, once authorized.
- Prepares work instructions/releasing orders that do not require engineering, once authorized.
- Address customer requests via in person, phone, email communications (ie: expediting, order stats, complaints, etc…) escalates issues as needed.
- Meets, greets and ensures visitor log is completed for walk-in guests.
- Communicates with operations, engineering, accounting, sales, and management to ensure correct transfer of data/information.
- Collects and collates laboratory generated data an assimilates all information into a final report.
- Creates final laboratory reports and sends to client.
- Maintains and updates information in the Customer Managements System (LUCY)
- Possesses thorough knowledge of laboratory services and applicable procedures to accurately communicate to customers with confidence.
- Assists in planning/developing improved operational procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Required:
- High school diploma or GED (Required)
- 1+ years of Customer Service experience
- 1 year minimum laboratory or office experience in an industrial environment (Required)
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
- Efficient in Microsoft WORD, EXCEL and Outlook
- High degree of accurate and efficient typing ability
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Strong ability to multi-task
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated/able to take initiative/responsibility
- Able to move from one project to the next
