Customer Service Representative (CSR):
Job description summary
Municipal Emergency Services seeks a Customer Service Representative (CSR) with strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to problem-solve and work well under pressure. The main goal of this role is to ensure customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries and complaints and resolving issues promptly and professionally. The CSR will work cooperatively with our Outside Sales reps, suppliers, and distribution team members to continue our successful growth and provide administrative support to the local branch.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Respond to a high volume of customer inquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist customers with their orders, billing, and delivery status
  • Provide information about products and services, including pricing and availability
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and effectively
  • Escalate customer complaints to the appropriate departments or supervisors if necessary
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions
  • Upsell and cross-sell products and services when appropriate
  • Provide feedback to the company's management team on customer trends, concerns, and needs
  • Keep up to date with company products, services, policies, and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
  • Partner with the outside sales team to contribute to the success of the business
  • Work cohesively with a large and dynamic team

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Able to lift a maximum of 50lbs
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screenings
