Customer Service Representative Job Description:

We are actively searching for a FT Customer Service Representative to work in our Northbrook, IL location.

This position will serve as the liaison between customers and field personnel, to fulfill customer requests. Maintain a good working relationship with customers by responding to all inquiries concerning work orders, invoices, shipments, etc. in a courteous, efficient, and knowledgeable manner.

Duties of the Customer Service Representative:

• Processes a high volume of incoming calls and emails, including customer orders submitted by telephone, email, and fax
• Checks in Route Drivers at the end of the workday and reconciles all customer funds received during deliveries
• Makes regular calls to accounts with outstanding balances and assists in maintaining accounts receivable over 60 days and attrition at five percent or less
• Provides backup support with daily sales reports, bank accounts, and month-end processes in supervisor’s absence
• Keeps records of customer interactions, processes customer accounts, and files documents
• Develops and demonstrates through knowledge of the Company’s products, services, and pricing structure

Requirements of the Customer Service Representative:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of Customer Service experience
• Must be self-directed
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills as well as organizational skills
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Problem-solving skills
• A positive disposition
