Assists Patient Financial Services management to identify and resolve problems relating to Customer Service Rep / Patient Financial Services Business Office
Job Summary:
· Answers incoming calls in bright and cheerful manner. Takes responsibility in resolving patient concerns on the spot if at possible.
· Acts as liaison between PFS and outside vendors and addresses issues such that productivity is maximized for both.
· Processes bankruptcy, estate accounts and fills request for itemized bills in a prompt, timely and accurate manner.
· Prepares and files refund requests.
· Accurate and thorough documentation of pertinent events regarding the handling of the account including researching prior accounts.
Education/Experience Requirements:
· High School diploma or GED required.
· Minimum three years’ experience in a medical billing office or in the CUSTOMER SERVICE field required. Basic computer skills required.
