About the Team: At the ZF Lafayette facility, the Customer Service Representative is the liaison between the customer and production. The Customer Service Representative works closely with all facets of manufacturing, sales, order entry, inside sales and shipping to ensure customer satisfaction Safety and quality are always kept to the highest standards. Communication throughout all levels of the plant, critical thinking, problem solving, and the right technical skills will be vital to success in this role. Being flexible and able to work with other team members effectively will facilitate meeting the targets and objectives of the ZF Lafayette facility.
What you can look forward to as a Customer Service Rep:

  • Provides post-sale support services to customers, including release of orders and changes to establish delivery based on material and capacity availability. Ensure that customer packaging requirements are met relative to quantities and type of container.
  • Analyze customer demand in SAP to assist with forecasting and production planning. Reconcile all SAP exception messages/reports to ensure accurate customer schedules.
  • Perform root cause analysis for customer delivery issues related to investigations of customer schedules relative to shipping discrepancies, customer debits, past due orders, cancellations and increases, and short lead time.
  • Develop, implement and communicate long term corretive actions.
  • Provide ship dates, related information and coordinate schedule changes from customer and production. Track customer delivery performance.

Your Profile as a Customer Service Rep:
  • Associate's and/or Bachelors Degree; extensive experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing/business environment required
  • Computer skills required. SAP experience preferred
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal, written, and electronic, with customers and all levels of plant management.
  • Proficiency in interpreting and managing supply chain data.
  • Team player with ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
