DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Customer Service manager will be responsible for managing multiple business support functions in CAS which support operations; specifically:
- Budget and Procurement
- Manage the Meter Reading section of the Customer Account Service Line.
- Responsible for the strategy and effective execution of meter reading operations.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the performance of the meter reading/CUSTOMER SERVICE team.
- Oversee the internal auditing monitors internal process to verify compliance with published policies, procedures, and ordinances.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of meter reads to ensure adherence to billing and service standards. Implement quality assurance programs to continuously improve service delivery.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for meter reading personnel.
- Soft skills, strong verbal and written skills required.
- Manages other tasks, as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc.
This is a Department of Public Works & Engineering Emergency Management position at the Tier II Level.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field is required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Seven years of administrative or CUSTOMER SERVICE-related experience are required, including two years in a supervisory position
Substitution: Four years of CUSTOMER SERVICE experience may be substituted for the above education requirement.
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
PREFERENCES
Preferences given to applicants with knowledge, ability, and experience in water meter reading billing w/o's, water meter maintenance, Microsoft Excel (intermediate proficiency level), GIMS, KRONOS, and INFOR Public Sector (IPS).
**Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6.**
