Pay above base commensurate with experience and qualifications. Apply Now Job Purpose and Objectives Process mail or in person transactions for new tag(s), tag(s) renewals or refunds. Assist public with handicap placards or inquiries.
Job Competencies Process tag and tax mail accordingly as required. Assist the public with motor vehicle needs. Process car, truck, motorcycle, motorbike, and trailer tag(s) renewals.
Process tags and tax refunds as necessary. Process title work including new, out-of-state, antiques, trailers, motorcycles, etc. Reconcile daily transactions including tags, taxes, checks and cash received through Tag and/or Treasurer.
Process End of Day Reports as required. Issue handicap placards and plates, harvester plates, and any other specialty plates as required. Attend meetings with County Treasurer for updates.
Maintain, "hold file" to ensure titles and assist customers in proper issuance of title. (Counter only) Assist with filing, report preparations and collecting sales tax. (Counter only) Collect all fees pertaining to antiques.
Occasionally, may assist taxpayers for property tax payments. Help customers sign in on the KIOSK and with errors on registrations. Accountable for all phases of Customer ServicesAssociate I's position description and other duties as may be assigned within level of expertise and training.
Assist public to understand tag(s) procedures. Interact with Topeka to correct computer records. Operates all job-related equipment, machinery, tools and other aids as required or needed.
Protects and maintains any confidential information you have access to, whether oral, written, or electronic. Position Requirements and Qualifications Position Requirements - High school diploma or G.E.D. This position requires continuous education.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities - Strong math and spelling skills. Proficient typing and computer skills. Proficient on calculator.
Work well with general public. Accurate data entry skills. Attention to detail.
