Overview
The Customer Service associate is responsible for providing reception support for the Distribution Center.
Essential Responsibilities
- Greet guests, provide assistance and direct visitors to appropriate staff.
- Answer incoming calls on multi-line phone system.
- Receive food and fund donations and provide donor receipts.
- Oversee and maintain inventory for Distribution Center supplies.
Additional Duties
- Provide emergency food boxes upon request.
- Coordinate backup coverage for reception desk as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Education and Experience
High school graduate and minimum of two years of administrative experience.
- Technical Proficiency
Computer competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Communication Skills
Tactful, accurate and concise in communication style with the ability to respond to inquiries and complaints in a courteous manner.
- Other Competencies
Dependable; organized with the ability to multitask; proactive and able to anticipate needs and be responsive to new and changing assignments.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
This position requires extended periods of sitting and occasional lifting up to 40 pounds. Work is performed in an office environment.
