Customer Service Associate

Focus is a photography and consumer electronics company based in Brooklyn. First founded in 1966, we have faithfully served the New York City metropolitan area for over fifty years. Our company employs over 200 people across three locations (Brooklyn HQ, NJ warehouse, NJ satellite office). Our employees are passionate, smart, hardworking, and considerate - and together they accomplish great things.

We are currently looking for an energetic Customer Service Rep to join our small, yet dedicated and passionate, team of Customer Service representatives. Our Customer Service team works out of our Brooklyn, NY headquarters.

Our operation is high volume, fast paced and we ship more than 5,000 orders a day. With so many orders, our Customer Service team typically handles several hundred customer contacts per day across phone, email, and online chat. This is a hands-on role where accuracy and an attention to detail are critical to our success.

Responsibilities:

· Handle customer contacts across phone, email, and online chat

· Respond to all customer contacts in a timely, accurate and professional manner

· Issue refunds, as appropriate

· Investigate shipping claims (e.g. package not delivered)

· Elevate serious complaints to supervisor so that it can be investigated and resolved

Requirements:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Proper grammar and spelling required

· Ability to type proficiently

· Basic computer knowledge

· Collaborative. Works well as part of a team

· Customer-focused

· Willing to learn and desire to grow

· 0-2 years relevant experience

· Bilingual - Spanish

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
