Sales / Customer Service Representative
Responsible for processing ticket sales at the Ticket Office and providing exceptional customer assistance.
Key Responsibilities/Activities:
- Works under the supervision of the Ticket Operations Manager
- Projects professional appearance and manner
- Provides exceptional Customer Service in all aspects of the Ticket Office, including phones, email and in-person
- Provides information to patrons regarding events and ticket policies
- Utilizes Ticketmaster software to process ticket sales
- Process ticket sales and will call pickups via cash and credit card
- Maintains accuracy in financial transactions
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Support Ticket Operations Manager to ensure the smooth running of events
- Undertake any other duties as requested by management
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
1. High School diploma, GED or equivalent
2. Customer service experience desired
3. Must possess some knowledge of computer applications and be prepared to become skilled at Ticketmaster software program
4. Ability to accurately handle money
5. Ability to apply concepts of basic math on an Excel spreadsheet, calculator or adding machine and make correct change
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Computer
7. Excellent email and telephone skills
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Applicant must possess current, valid driver’s license and a current working home telephone with a number that can be accessed by building management personnel for business contact purposes.

1. Ability to speak and understand English
2. Ability to read and interpret documents such as instructions, policies, and procedures
3. Ability to deal effectively and courteously with the general public.

This position is part-time salaried and reports to the Director of Marketing. This position also works closely with other Maryland Jockey Club staff including the Maryland Jockey Club Marketing team and the 1/ST Corporate teams.
Tuesday – Saturday 9am to 5pm
