Required Education and Experience:
  • Graduation from high school or GED.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • One (1) or more years of experience providing Customer Service within a sport, recreation, fitness and/or enrichment industry.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Xplor/Perfect Mind registration software

Available Schedules:
  • Hours will vary based on operational needs and individual availability.
    • Rogue X hours of operation: 6:00 AM - 9:00 PM, 7-days a week
    • Santo Center hours of operation: 8:00 AM - 6:30M, Monday - Friday

The anticipated hiring range for the Customer Service Assistantposition is $19.43 (first step) to $20.40 (second step). Directly related experience and qualifications will be evaluated alongside others who perform work of comparable character as required by Pay Equity Law. Three steps are included in this salary range, allowing opportunity for annual movement through the steps.

Examples of Job Duties
These duties are a representative example; position assignments may vary depending on the business needs of the department and organization. This position:
  • Responds to requests for information from the general public, internal departments, and employees.
  • Organizes and schedules mass communication to staff, customers, program participants, and residents.
  • Analyzes and reports on survey data from various department and recreation programming surveys.
  • Responsible to process program registrations, basic and advanced facility reservations, individual and mass cancellation refunds.
  • Assist with the following:
    • Configuration and maintenance of the department's registration and reservation software in preparation for seasonal registration and reservation dates.
    • Providing support to the Recreation Division.
    • Basic payroll entry.
    • Scheduling of annual contractual reservations.
  • Completes various seasonal projects, events, and/or tasks assigned by the Customer Service Supervisor.
  • Effective and efficient use of office equipment, computers, and related software.
  • Must have the ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others in the workplace.
  • Must be honest and truthful in all tasks and responsibilities. Must maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrates regular, reliable and punctual attendance.
  • Upholds the values of the organization and has strong Customer Service orientation.
