JOB TITLE: Custodian, Part Time

LOCATION: Lakeville, MA

REPORTS TO: Manager of Security and Facilities

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Custodian is responsible for keeping the building and property in clean and orderly condition.

• Performs heavy cleaning duties
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, or vacuums floors
• Gathers and empties trash and recycling
• Scrubs, sanitizes, and stocks restrooms
• Cleans and sanitizes common areas such as the employee lunchroom
• Dusts furniture, walls, and equipment in designated areas
• Cleans windows, mirrors, and partitions with soap and other cleansers
• Mixes cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning, according to instructions.
• Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
• Cleans and polishes fixtures and furniture
• Shampoos or steam-cleans carpets and rugs
• Manages inventory of cleaning supplies and coordinates with Security when additional supplies are needed
• May occasionally assist with routine maintenance activities or other duties within the scope of capabilities
• Provides coverage in the Security office as requested to monitor video cameras and answer incoming calls
• Follows safety protocols and precautions

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 21 years of age or older as required by the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission
• Able to pass all background checks as mandated by Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures
• Ability to operate and use janitorial tools, equipment, and supplies such as floor buffers, vacuum cleaners, and cleaning compounds and solutions.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules
• Works well independently

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Ability to stand, reach, bend, squat, and walk for long periods of time
• Ability to climb ladders and work at varying heights
• Ability to perform repetitive motion for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Consistently work in an environment with possible exposure to dust (kief) and strong cannabis odors (terpenes), as well as cleaning product odors

WORK SCHEDULE:

• Tuesday through Saturday
• 6:00am - 10:00am

Pay: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
