What We Do:
OhioMHAS operates regional psychiatric hospitals in six locations across the state that operate 365/24/7. Our specialized facilities provide short-term, intensive treatment to patients in both inpatient and community-supported environments. We also deliver comprehensive care to patients committed through the criminal justice system.

The Job Opportunity and Duties:
What you will do:
- Cleans and maintains (e.g., dusts, mops, sweeps, buffs & waxes floors, scrubs sinks, toilets, countertops, walls & ceilings, dusts & cleans furniture & equipment, empties trash, washes windows, polishes mirrors & glass, vacuums & shampoos carpet, replenishes soap, paper towels & toilet paper) in assigned areas (e.g., dining areas, rest rooms, offices, units).
- Performs grounds duties (e.g., removes snow &/or ice from walkways, removes litter from grounds, sweeps walkways, raises/lowers flag, reports any evidence of fire, illegal entry & theft of property).
- Performs other related duties (e.g., stocks supply closets, replaces light bulbs, reports need for equipment repair, s
- Secures doors/windows, moves furniture, sort & wash linens/laundry); attends mandated trainings & staff meetings.

Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading & speaking common English vocabulary. In accordance with Section 124.11(B)(2), revised code, Director of Administrative Services has determined this classification to be unskilled labor class & therefore exempt from written examination.

Knowledge of cleaning practices & procedures*; addition & subtraction. Skill in operating cleaning equipment & tools*. Ability to carry out simple instructions; recognize safety warnings; stand, walk or bend continuously; lift up to 50 lbs. frequently. (*)Developed after employment.
