The M*ta VR Store team is seeking a Curation Campaign Manager to ideate, curate, and program games, apps, and entertainment content for VR merchandising surfaces. The role entails tracking, reviewing, selecting, and scheduling immersive content with the explicit goal of driving customer conversion. This role requires strong organisational skills and an ability to work independently. Writing and/or editing experience is a huge plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform curation and scheduling functions for games, apps, and entertainment.
- Support ideation of new editorial programs and inventory in accordance with ever-shifting priorities and goals.
- Use a combination of curatorial insight, as well as data and analytics, to inform content curation, strategy, and program ideation.
- Support real-time programming changes to refresh and/or adjust content quickly to ensure priority content discovery.
- Work independently, meticulously document curatorial inventory, and oversee delivery of content to strict deadlines.
- Act as a key point of contact with cross-functional teams such as Creative, Engineering, Developer Relations, and more.

- Store merchandising team
- Manage how things are laid out on the VR store
- Managing discounts, sales, editorial, conent
- Curation pillar - fairly new
- Focus on editorial content and how to curate it

- Interested in doing things for users than for the company
- Try to help people find the content that they want
- Important for this person to have an understanding of the apps and games industry
- 3+ years of professional curatorial and/or editorial experience at an established website, magazine, or marketplace.
- Must be a self-starter who can independently prioritise projects and thrive in a deadline-driven environment. A strong work ethic and strict attention to detail will be keys to success in this role.
- Experience working with proprietary content and asset management systems and troubleshooting related tools.
- Experience documenting and communicating processes, workflows, and schedules to XFN teams.
- Experience driving processes independently and pushing projects to completion under strict deadlines.
Preferred experience
- A deep, demonstrated understanding and appreciation of gaming culture, entertainment trends, and the immersive entertainment industry as a whole.
- Bachelor's degree. English or Arts concentration is a plus, but other degrees/educational backgrounds will be considered in tandem with relevant experience.
- Extensive experience with V technology, app store marketplaces, and other platforms.
- Experience with proprietary tooling, CMSes, CRM, Photoshop, and email marketing strategies and related systems.
Top Must have skills:
- Understanding of entertainment and media - doesn't necessarily have to be games, but would be helpful
- Critical thinking skills - ability to determine great content
- Ability to work independently & has the confidence to - cannot be doing a lot of hand holding - extremely busy team
- Strong documentation & project management skills
- Very strongly preferred: apps and games industry experience
- Writing ability/experience
