As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Center Operator to join our team and drive our relationships with hyperscale clients to new heights.

Critical Facility Chief Engineer:

The Critical Facility Chief Engineer will be responsible for managing cross-functional teams committed to service excellence, quality performance, and improving the environmental, health, and safety for the Data Center campus setting. This position will play a critical role on the customer's Data Center Operations Leadership Team developing process, creating, enforcing, and validating standardization while advancing safety culture, ensure sustainability initiatives are followed and reported, and will protect the health and wellbeing of employees, customers, suppliers and visitors at the campus. Responsibilities:

Responsible for day-to-day Data Center facility operations in a campus setting (heavily technical nature)

Manages operations, and technical personnel ensuring established processes are followed.

Responsible for delivering consistent state of Data Center operational readiness.

Implements operating standards, processes, procedures, rules, regulations and leads a culture of excellence with specific focuses on safety, technical operations, quality, compliance, and transparency.

Leads a team of high-performing, cross-functional individual contributors, and their ongoing professional development.

Leads data center site services, facility operations, logistics, and customer deployments across a data center campus setting.

Track operational performance metrics, KPIs, environmental compliance and sustainability.

Sets quality standards for Data Center Operations teams.

Drives development and implementation of data center standards, departmental procedures, and objectives.

Promotes adoption of best practices and steers standardization of maintenance oversight

Responsible for driving towards 100% uptime of Data Center Operations Analyze production operations and initiate corrective actions as may be required to ensure operational stability.

Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems.

Directs planned preventative maintenance work assignments requiring the skill(s) of several Mechanical, Electrical, and life-safety Systems trades.

Guides incident response EOP protocol and responds to emergency events during non-business hours as necessary.

Rapid response, investigation and management of indoor emergency situations and indoor air quality concerns

Perform, oversee, and manage the periodic audits of maintenance MOPs, equipment SOPs and Emergency Operator Procedures (EOPs) to ensure quality, accuracy, and conformance with company standards and industry best practice.

Conduct site safety audits and inspections and examine work sites to identify hazards in the workplace. 22

Complete comprehensive reports of findings including correction plans to ensure compliance.

Analyze risk scenarios to determine their potential impact. Analyze productivity improvements and make recommendations to customer.

Design and implement safety-related programs to mitigate risk scenarios.

Work with site leaders to develop training initiatives for engineering, data center, and property level professionals.

Advocate safe changes in the face of new infrastructure, new tools, and new processes.

Investigate and analyze incident reports involving work-related injuries, illnesses, and recommend measures to prevent recurrence.

Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Reviews General Contractor Project-Specific Safety Plans for compliance with customer requirements, and OSHA or international equivalent standards.

Provides EH&S training to staff and construction managers.

Manages project-level safety inspections and reporting as required. Core Competencies:

Demonstrated ability to Interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Advanced analytical and quantitative skills

Intermediate level experience with Microsoft office suite of tools like Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word to create presentations and reports.

Strategic agility and good decision-making skills

Demonstrated Servant Leadership style with a strong customer service orientation.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills to effectively respond to sensitive and complex issues.

A comprehensive understanding of critical environment management and challenges associated with data center uptime

Demonstrated ability to interpret complex drawings, diagrams, sequence of operations, commissioning documents and site surveys, etc. Required Education and Experience:

Desired Skills & Experience:

Associates degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or other technical field / equivalent experience

At least five years of mission critical facility operations experience leading physical operations in a Critical Environment infrastructure.

Proven team leadership experience at least three years' experience leading and motivating a diverse, service delivery workforce.

Effective verbal and written communication skills Preferred Requirements:

Working knowledge of audit and compliance requirements in a large enterprise

Strong problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, data analysis, and attention to detail

Accident Investigation experience

Proof of OSHA 30 Hour General or Construction Industry Training 23

Proficient with Microsoft Applications

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Military experience will be advantageous

Bachelors degree in applicable field

10 years of Critical Facilities experience

Experience with researching and developing business cases for improved safety conditions, performance optimization, etc.
