Job Summary
At Crisis Response Project, our mission is to help our clients and their families through the most difficult times of their lives. The Crisis Counselor provides direct services to clients and families in crisis including: crisis response within 15 minutes of receiving a call, crisis intervention; which can include phone support and physically responding to client's place of residence, day program or community setting, crisis assessment and stabilization, maintenance of case records including mandated reporting and incident reports, behavior management, research and assessment, transport clients as needed, work as a part of a team .

Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or 5 years experience in related field
- Bilingual in Spanish/English or Mandarin/English (preferred but not required)
- Fingerprint clearances
- Own vehicle, valid California Drivers License and insurance (250,000/500,000 bodily injury)
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Experience working with emotionally disturbed children/adults in out-of-home care a plus
- Ability to work with a diverse population
- Good organizational and writing skills
- Flexible schedule with ability to work evenings and weekends
- Willing to respond to crisis situations and be part of a rotating crisis call hotline system
