Your role will be to facilitate and ensure all operations are processed efficiently and in a timely manner.
You will be a point of contact and liaise with entities both internally (Front-Office trading, Middle-Office, Back Office, Compliance, IT, Market Activity Monitoring, Project Management) and externally (Clients, Broker/Dealers etc.). You will develop various skills such as knowledge of financial products, the financial markets, and best business practices. The position is based in New York.
You will report locally to the New York Head of Credit & Repo Middle Office. Key Responsibilities The Middle Office team is responsible for assisting and controlling the Credit and US Govies business line including products such as Corporate Bonds, US Treasury Bonds, US Treasury Futures, Credit Derivatives, etc. This includes trade monitoring, workflow control, and trade validation to ensure timely settlement and accuracy of Front Office positions, risk exposure and trade capture.
You will contribute to the development of a reliable and effective control function of the perimeter. You will also have the opportunity to participate in various projects related to client business development in order to optimize secure transactions and to provide control of risks. You will also participate in business projects such as new market developments, new products, system enhancements/deployment, new regulations and market rules.
Specific Responsibilities: Ensure the transactional integrity across trading applications Ensure the integrity and the legitimacy of Trading positions across Front Office systems Ensure all trades are captured in the Front office system on a daily basis Manage trade modifications in Front Office booking system if requested while ensuring relevant control modifications are accurately reflected in Trader's P&L Control Front office to back office trade workflow and follow up with numerous teams to resolve discrepancies CME Clearport trade input as needed for Treasury Futures clearing TAAPS processing for US Treasury Auctions bidding Monitor and manage FINRA TRACE reporting Process corporate actions bookings, manage buy-in requests and process conversions as needed Assist in the investigation of failed trades and trade-related discrepancies while providing solutions in a timely manner Daily coverage and financing of Front Office security position and currency balances Facilitate trade settlements and clearing in DTC, Euroclear/Clearstream, Fedwire and CME Clearport Supplementary Information Frequent communication with numerous teams including internal and external entities such as front office, back office, Risk Management, IT, management, clients, brokers, Finance Department, etc. Investigation and follow-up of breaks sent by back office, Middle Office or internal departments Provide high level, quality support to front office within the Middle Office's perimeter and established global mandates Ensure controls and procedures are developed to support the business while reducing financial and operational risk Assist in the identification, specification and testing of system enhancements Develop and maintain strong relationships while communicating will all Middle Office teams located globally including MDA teams maintaining interface between all entities Salary Range:$85k-$95k Position location Geographical area America, United States Of America City NEW YORK Candidate criteria Minimal education level Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent Academic qualification / Speciality Degree in finance preferred Level of minimal experience 0-2 years Experience Previous experience in Operations, trade settlements (DTC/Euroclear/Fed), strong written and verbal communication skills Required skills Rigour and sense of organisation.
