The Children’s Institute is hiring for a Creative Director. At The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh, we believe in the power of play. The Creative Director reports to the Chief Marketing Officer. The Creative Director supervises the Creative Design Manager and any creative contracted partners (freelancers, videographers, photographers, etc.). This is a Full-Time position with hybrid capabilities.
The Creative Director will be responsible for being a:
- Creative Leader – The Creative Director will lead the overall efforts of the internal and external creative teams by delivering innovative projects with solid, articulated creative strategy. This person is an innovative, creative leader who shares, and encourages the team to think out of the box.
- Lead Storyteller – The Creative Director will work closely with the CMO to lead evolving the Children’s Institute Brand positioning by playing a key role in helping to develop the next Brand “Big idea” to elevate the presence of the Children’s Institute and deliver the 2024-2026 3 Year Strategic Plan. The Creative Director will also own “the voice of the brand” and all copywriting.
- Brand Guru – serving as an ongoing equity champion to ensure brand continuity within and outside of the organization.
- Creative Culture Builder - Collaborates with internal and external partners and stakeholders to set expectations and standards (build a culture) for the creative work. This will entail leading the production process and project management for all creative assets across all channels from start to finish.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, graphic design, visual communications, marketing or equivalent is required.
Training and Experience:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a position with similar level with other large organizations.
- Experience in external or internal agency work and able to provide and online portfolio.
- Strong track record of establishing operational processes to ensure smooth production schedules.
- Experience in non-profit and education related industries is preferred.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Act 33/34 Clearances FBI Clearance required.
