Position Overview:
As a Creative Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the creative vision of our marketing and advertising. This leadership position requires a strategic and innovative thinker with a deep understanding of design, branding, and storytelling. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, on-brand creative content across various channels. The Creative Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams and our external agency and provide creative direction to achieve business objectives. The Creative Director will play a crucial role in elevating the organization's creative output and ensuring alignment with business objectives. This position requires a strategic thinker, effective communicator, and inspirational leader within the creative team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Creative Leadership:
· Develop and communicate a compelling creative vision aligned with the organization's brand and business goals.
· Develop coherent ad themes and campaigns with assets that can be used to drive sales while also creating a strategic customer image.
· Develop assets for use across a variety of mediums so campaigns are coherent and coordinated.
· Develop creative assets that can be used in-store to foster consistency in the customer experience of campaigns and promotions across media channels.
· Create innovative campaigns outside of tentpole holidays that drive urgency.
· Inspire and lead a team of designers, writers, and other creative professionals to produce timely, innovative and impactful work.
2. Strategic Planning:
· Collaborate with the marketing and executive teams to understand business objectives and translate them into creative strategies.
· Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to ensure the creative approach remains current and effective.
· Develop workflows that enable a high degree of segmentation.
· Develop and implement plans for different marketing mediums, while still maintaining coherent go-to-market campaigns.
3. Project Management:
· Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
· Work closely with project managers to allocate resources effectively and prioritize tasks based on project timelines.
4. Brand Management:
· Maintain and evolve the organization's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all creative assets and communication channels.
· Develop and enforce brand guidelines to safeguard the integrity of the brand.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
· Collaborate with marketing, product, and other departments to integrate creative concepts into overall business strategies.
· Work closely with external agencies or freelancers when necessary, ensuring alignment with the brand and project objectives.
· Review and approve scripts & spots with the Agency of record.
• Work collaboratively with the Creative Director to ensure that in-store
signage and graphic packages are consistent.
6. Creative Conceptualization:
· Lead brainstorming sessions and creative workshops to generate innovative ideas and concepts.
· Provide constructive feedback to the creative team to enhance the quality and impact of creative deliverables.
7. Performance Analysis:
· Analyze the effectiveness of creative campaigns and initiatives, using data and insights to refine strategies and improve future outcomes.
Requirements:Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Marketing).
· Proven experience as a Creative Director or in a similar leadership role.
· Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of creative projects.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· In-depth knowledge of design principles, brand development, and Marketing strategies.
· Proficient in creative software and tools.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, retail environment.
Key Deliverables:
· Maintain high quality production within the production budget. This includes planning and strategic thinking when it comes to photo and video shoots so that the footage is maximized
· Employee retention on the creative team.
· Increase store traffic and revenue through creative campaigns (ie customer match back on creative, strategic holdback, etc.)
· Timeliness – creative assets that can be used 3 months out for campaigns.
