Counter Server For Local Eatery & Coffee Shop

PLEASE NOTE BEFORE APPLYING: this position requires open availability and flexibility to work varying shifts. MUST be available to do opening shifts starting at 8:30 am, work weekends, some holidays, as well as some closing shifts.

Pudgee's Eatery & Market has expanded to open an adjacent Coffee Corral space. With this recent growth we currently looking to hire a few more reliable team members who are looking for stable long term employment.

Our current position of Counter Server& Coffee Barista includes the following duties & qualifications

Duties:

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations
• Take customer orders and process payments using the Square POS system
• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso, lattes, milkshakes, and protein shakes.
• Prepare and serve food items such as pastries, and a variety of Amish ice cream desserts.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work environment
• Follow health and safety guidelines for food handling and preparation
• Upsell additional products or menu items to customers
• When needed, assist team members with food expediting on the eatery side, and helping maintain a clean dining area for customers
• Assist with inventory management and restocking of supplies
• Answering phones & assisting with taking to-go orders

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous experience in the food service industry
• Previous experience as a coffee barista is a huge plus!!
• Proficient in math, cash handling and operating a POS system
• Knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety regulations
• Familiarity with Square POS system is a plus
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, and being able to stay busy when slow.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure orders are prepared in a timely manner
• Ability to work well in a team environment
