As Bodega Taqueria y Tequila continues to expand its national footprint, we are looking for an experienced Counter Server to joina growing brand and an incredible team!
Offering traditional Mexican favorites as well as unconventional and innovative interpretations, Bodega specializes in tacos and tequila in a dynamic, eclectic puebla inspired setting. Disguised behind a meat locker door, the no-name speakeasy behind Bodega comes alive at night, serving up the best cocktails in an environment that brings the fabric of the community together artists and musicians, locals and travelers alike for late night conversation, performances and fun.
As a Counter Server you will serve food and beverage items to customers in a friendly, enthusiastic, professional, and timely manner from our Taqueria Airstream. You will provide friendly, courteous, and efficient quality presentation of food and beverage service to all guests and ensure the guest has the optimal experience while visiting your location. You will also support the packaging and delivery preparation of online and take-out orders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Customer Service:
- Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding menu items, ingredients, and special requests.
- Provide recommendations and suggestions to enhance the customer experience.
- Account for orders accurately, process payments and provide receipts promptly.
- Adhere to our sales spiel and customer experience roadmap guidelines at all times.
- Food Handling and Sanitation Guidelines
- Prepare and assemble our menu items according to recipes and customer specifications, ensuring plating and presentation match the quality standards set by the menu descriptions.
- Maintain a clean and organized food preparation area.
- Monitor ingredient levels and inform the kitchen staff of any quantity, spoilage, or quality issues.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handwashing, glove usage, and equipment cleanliness.
- Dispose of waste and maintain cleanliness of dining areas, counters, and serving utensils.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaboration:
- Coordinate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate customer feedback, concerns, and special requests to the appropriate team members and management.
- Assist with restocking supplies and maintaining inventory levels.
- Partner with third party contacts (deliveries, external contacts, etc) to ensure packaged orders are received by the correct parties in a timely manner.
- Upselling and Promotion:
- Familiarize yourself with menu items, daily specials, and promotions to effectively upsell and increase sales.
- Suggest additional menu items, sides, or beverages that complement customers' orders.
