Seeking a Licensed mental health professional to provide counseling and therapy in a Private Practice setting. Providers do a combination of virtual and in-person sessions at an office in Endwell.
This is an independent contractor/fee for service position. The person best suited for this position is someone who is fully licensed and wants to provide counseling/therapy in a Private Practice setting but does not want to be completely on their own or have to start a practice by themselves. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor that expanded to a group practice in Jan 2022. Our practice now has 5 therapists.
As a fee for service Counselor/Therapist, you set your own hours and schedule. A minimum of 10 sessions per week (excluding holiday weeks and vacation time) is a requirement. You decide the type of clients that you would like to work with.
I will provide practice management software and provide support on how to use it. This will help you to manage your schedule, documents and forms, session notes, treatment plans, etc…
I will handle all of your insurance billing and client payments. Being part of a group practice that accepts insurance is a huge advantage. Clients are expecting to pay for therapy with insurance and there are few providers in our area willing to accept insurance. If you do not accept insurance, many clients will not want to work with you or will discontinue therapy after a short amount of time due to cost. In my experience, accepting insurance keeps my caseload consistently full and clients attend regular sessions on average for more than a year. Oftentimes continuing beyond 2 years. We only credential with insurers that are able to offer us proper compensation. Part of my mission in expanding the group practice is to increase clients access to affordable mental health therapy in our community.
In order to increase access to care, I require that my providers get credentialed and paneled with with the main insurers in our area through me. While there is some minimal initial work on your part to begin this process, consider me your full-time credentialing specialist that will handle the majority of the effort. Depending on your credentials and your clients insurance plan, you should expect to take home between $75-115 per session from insurance pay clients. You may set your own rates for private pay clients.
Candidates must be proficient with smartphones and their personal computer/ laptop. The way I run my practice relies heavily on technology such as the practice management app/website, using an efax service, managing virtual sessions, and using email and text messaging for client communication. I will provide training and ongoing support but you will need to pick it up quickly. By doing it this way, I have eliminated the need to hire additional support staff, which lowers operating costs.
Requirements:
Master’s degree or higher in counseling, social work, psychology or mental health related fields.
Licensed as an LMFT, LMHC or LCSW with at least 3 years of post license clinical experience.
At this time, I am not able to accept interns or therapists who require supervision to provide individual therapy. You must be eligible for insurance credentialing.
Malpractice insurance (a 1M/3M policy).
At least ten hours per week available to see Private Practice patients. Built in incentives for doing more sessions.
