Position Title:
Cost &Budget Consultant/Sr. Financial Analyst
Job Description:
Location: Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model with pulse point sites used for collaboration, community, and connection. Proximity/ within 50 miles to an Elevance Health major office (pulse point) is required.
The Cost &Budget Consultant/Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for leading the annual budgeting, forecasting and cost allocation process, calculating allocation results and providing standard and ad-hoc cost analysis. May be responsible for cost or budget functions only or a combination of both.
How You Will Make an Impact:
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Leads the annual and monthly cost allocation budget processes.
  • Leads the quarterly forecast process and supports annual budget process.
  • Collects and balances statistical data.
  • Identifies and implements system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Prepares and presents ad-hoc analyses of financial data for planning, modeling and forecasting.
  • Prepares board and operating committee packages.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Requires BA/BS in finance, accounting or related field and a minimum of 3 years directly related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
  • MBA, CPA and/or CMA preferred.
  • Cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting experience preferred.
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communications skills preferred.
  • Excellent analytical ability and strong PC skills strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel, data mining large data sets, and PowerPoint experience strongly preferred.
